Travel (Ai)gent ("we", "our", or "the app") is an AI-powered travel planning platform. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we use it.
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. If you sign up with email, we store your email and encrypted password.
Trip data: Destinations, itineraries, travel dates, budgets, packing lists, and travel document checklists you create within the app. This data is stored to provide continuity across sessions.
Preferences: Home airport, default currency, temperature/distance units, and travel interests you configure in settings.
Photos: If you use the trip photo gallery (Pro feature), photos are uploaded and stored securely.
Usage data: We track basic analytics such as which features are used and generation counts to improve the product. We do not sell this data.
Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number. Stripe provides us with your email and subscription status only.
We use your data to: generate personalized travel itineraries, save and sync your trips across devices, process payments for Pro subscriptions, send trip-related emails you request (e.g., emailing yourself an itinerary summary), and improve the app's features and reliability.
We use the following third-party services:
Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Stripe — payment processing. Anthropic (Claude AI) — itinerary generation. Vercel — app hosting. OpenWeather — weather data. Unsplash — destination photos.
We also include affiliate links to travel booking platforms (Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Viator, Kiwi.com, etc.). Clicking these links takes you to the partner's website, which has its own privacy policy. We earn a commission on bookings made through these links at no extra cost to you.
Your data is stored in Supabase with row-level security (RLS) enabled on all tables, meaning you can only access your own data. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. We do not store data longer than necessary — if you delete your account, your data is removed.
We use browser localStorage to save your preferences, trip data, and session state for a seamless experience. We use Supabase's authentication cookies for login persistence. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.
You can: access all your data through the app at any time, delete your account and associated data by contacting us, export your trip data, and opt out of any emails. If you are in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to be forgotten.
Travel (Ai)gent is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
